A$1,320.00 just landed. How much of it is yours?

Invoice 0042 has been paid. Before you spend it, Clementine works out the GST, what to set aside for tax, and what is left.

Keep scrolling to split it.

  1. GSTOne-eleventh of the invoice. Held for your next BAS.

    A$840.00

A$840.00 + A$360.00 + A$120.00 = A$1,320.00. Every cent has a place. Example figures; tax amounts in Clementine are estimates. The automatic split is being built now and arrives with the founding release.

Four BAS dates and one 30 June.

A sole trader's year has a rhythm. Clementine marks it on the same line as everything else, so a due date is something you walk up to with the money already put aside.

Standard quarterly due dates for people who lodge their own BAS. Yours can differ, for example if you lodge through an agent.

1 July 2026. The financial year starts.

  1. 28Oct

BAS for July to SeptemberThe first of the year. The GST from each invoice is already sitting to one side.

  2. 1Mar

BAS for October to DecemberNormally 28 February. In 2027 that is a Sunday, so it moves to Monday 1 March.

  3. 28Apr

BAS for January to MarchThe short gap. It comes round fast.

  4. 28Jul

BAS for April to JuneDue four weeks after the year has closed. The easy one to forget.

30 June 2027. The year ends; the books close.

Six things you open it to do.

Four for the household, two for the side hustle, one tray. Some of it is in the app today and some is still being built. Each compartment says which.

See what is in each plan

Why you can rely on it.

  • You pay for Clementine, so it lasts. Pocketbook and MoneyBrilliant were closed by the companies that bought them.

Pocketbook closed in August 2022 and MoneyBrilliant that December. Neither answered to the people using it. Clementine is paid for by its members and by nobody else: A$9.99 a month for Plus, and Free stays free.

    Why we charge

  • It never sells your data, and it never takes a referral fee from a lender.

No ads, no partner offers, no commission from a bank, insurer or broker. The plans are the whole business, and the few services that process your data are listed with exactly what each one sees.

    Independent and staying that way

  • Everything you put in can be exported, in full, whenever you like.

One zip: a spreadsheet for each kind of record, one JSON file with everything as stored, and your receipt photos. It is free on every plan, and it still works after a plan has ended.
